FAIRE 2020 – Design Proposal for Safer Public Spaces
FAIRE 2020 is an innovative design competition proposal aimed at reducing the transmission of COVID-19 in high-traffic public areas. The concept introduces a system of humidification and ventilation cabins, strategically positioned to sanitize and screen travelers before boarding.
Located at the entrance of a major train station (Gare), the project offers a streamlined, health-focused experience without disrupting flow. It serves as a preventative checkpoint — a blend of architecture, public health, and urban design.
The cabins are conceived using advanced technologies, including 3D printing for rapid, modular construction. This allows for efficient deployment, customization, and scalability in other transit hubs or public spaces.
This forward-thinking proposal reimagines how we can design for public health, using architecture as a proactive tool in the face of global challenges.
